cancer round 2Views: 303

hello i am maryanne and i have breast cancer again i had
cancer in my left breast in 1998 and had my left breast
removed it was holloween quite bizarre it is also my birthday month iwent through 6 week of radiation and 6
months of chemo and the tamoxifin for 6 years and this year
went back for my mamogram and the found a small not even a
cell microscopic in size in my left breast and had the
diagosis it was not cancer then my doctor said that the
pathologist said i should get a second opinion. the surgeon
looked at the mamogram and said its cancer and walked out
there was no compassion and i was in shock again i thought
i was safe after 9 years i walked out of the office without even a word but i knew i had to fight it it was
so small i thought they might have even removed it in the
testing and they put in a metal thing to spot it it was
done without any anestechia and i was standing up i almost
passed out for the testing then to find out i still had
to go through surgery it was a real bummer.
the orginial doctor i had for my treatment wouldnt take
my insurance because it didnt pay 100 percent. so i had to
go to another doctor that my physcican recommended
he was so wonderful and so compassionate it was like i
was talking to god and old friend and he called me by my
name maryanne and said he would be watching over me
i was so happy i cried he told me i didnt need the chemo
again but i did need the radiation and i went through the
radiation for a second time there were some wonderful
people in radiation to treat me and they even remembered me
the surgeon i went to didnt even remmeber that he had
removed my right breast in 1998. i remembered him. i guess
when your a surgeon one is the same i felt like saying
when you remove someones breast you should look at their
face now i am home and recovering. there is nothing
after treatment i go to the doctor and i have to get back
i am still tired and have no energy sometimes i will have
swelling in my arm from the lympodemia that i got after
my first surgery they didnt even tell me what it was until
a year later. surgeons should tell you there is a chance
your limbs might swell afterwards there is no cure for it
it is impairment of the lymph nodes thats about all

Hay welcome to the family, we are here to help and support all who come to us. So there ya go.
